Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

Water scarcity affects more than 40 percent of people around the world, an alarming figure that is set to rise as temperatures rise. Although many people om the world have improved their access to water, dwindling supplies of drinking water are affecting every continent, with water stress, increasing drought and desertification. By 2050, it is expected that at least one in four people will experience recurring water shortages.

This goal aims to ensure safe and affordable drinking water for all by 2030, through investments in adequate infrastructure, provide sanitation facilities and encourage hygiene, along with actions to protect and restore water-related ecosystems.
