Life below the water
The world's oceans are an indispensable part of the global systems, the systems that make Earth a welcoming and habitable planet for mankind. How we decide to manage this vital resource is essential for all of humanity and for offsetting the climate change’s effects.
This goal aims to sustainably manage and protect marine and coastal ecosystems from pollution, as well as combat the impacts of ocean acidification. Protecting the waters and the life forms that inhabit them and promoting sustainable use of ocean resources through international law means helping to mitigate some of the challenges our oceans face in the present and future.
