Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Achieving economic growth and sustainable development requires a rapid reduction in human ecological footprint and a change in the way goods and resources are produced and consumed.
This goal aims to achieve efficient management of shared natural resources, including proper disposal of toxic waste and pollutants. Moving towards more sustainable consumption patterns by 2030 also means encouraging industries, businesses and consumers to recycle and reduce waste, halve global food waste and create more efficient production and supply chains, improving food security and moving towards a more resource-efficient economy.
