End poverty in all its forms everywhere

Eradicating poverty in all its forms is one of humanity's greatest challenges. Although the number of people living in extreme poverty decreased by more than half between 1990 and 2015, too many people are still struggling for the most basic human needs such as food, clean water, and sanitation.

This goal is a bold commitment to end poverty in all its shapes and sizes by 2030. This includes identifying the most vulnerable, increasing basic resources and services, and supporting communities affected by conflict and climate-related disasters.
