Monday 24 October - Open Access Week event
20 October 2022
It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the first edition of Bocconi Open Access Week.
Open Access week, which this year will be held from 24 to 30 October, is an annual event of international scope,
and its purpose is to raise awareness of the scientific community on Open Science and Open Access issues.
Two talks are scheduled for this first edition at Bocconi, organized in collaboration with the Bocconi Library and Research Area,
and inaugurated by Prof. Jérôme Adda, Dean for Research, to offer the Bocconi community of researchers and professors a reflection
on two hot topics in Open Science.
The first talk, given by Paola Galimberti (UniMi), will critically illustrate the topic of transformative agreements,
highlighting their merits and more critical aspects.
In the second speech, Stefano Bargioni (PUSC) and Carlo Bianchini (UniPv), founders of the working group GWMAB, Wikidata Group for Museums,
Archives and Libraries, will present the Iris Wikidata project, aimed at enhancing the visibility of scientific research through the creation
of a single access point to all the publications of a researcher.
The event will be held on Monday 24 October, and will take place online, in English, from 9 a.m. CEST.
