Holocaust Remembrance Day
27 january 2023
The Library has created a libguide dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January, 27th), where you can find material from the Library and resources freely accessible online.
The International Holocaust Remembrance Day was proclaimed by the United Nations on the 1st of November 2005 to mark the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp (1945), when the whole world became aware of the crimes perpetrated by the Nazis.
The United Nations encourage member states to promote educational programs aimed at remembering and promoting awareness among new generations.
With our guide, realized with the help of professor Giunia Gatta, we hope to support reflection and a deeper understanding in memory of the victims of genocide and Nazi persecutions.
